TWHS Reviews Sole Savour Foot Creme

Playing footsie may not be a spectator sport, but for those participating in it, negative experiences can scar you for life.

When the maker of Sole Savour Foot Creme shipped me a sample for review, it sounded like the perfect way to maintain the softness that is usually robbed by winter dryness. And the fact that it's void of parabens, sulfates, synthetics and dyes makes it even more desirable for those of us who are conscious of not only what goes in our bodies, but what goes on it.

Created by former marathon runner (and current pedicure lover and podiatric surgeon), Dr. Krista A. Archer is also a fellow Stiletto Intellectual. Truly a woman who knows that fashion can sometimes do damage to our soles. Sole Savour Foot Creme is the first product in Dr. Archer's ARCH line.

But seeing how my FH was pulled over for speeding, sick all week with a scratchy throat and head cold - a Mercury Retrograde type of a week - I decided to cater to him with the creme first. After soaking his feet in a pedicure bomb foot bath, I massaged Sole Savour Foot Creme onto his tired feet.

The scent is light and airy, and definitely useable by both men and women. The air pump produces streams of the creme, proving that less is indeed more. But his reaction to the application was priceless: "This is nice and soothing; it feels and smells reeeeally good." I actually had to contain a giggle when I saw how his toes were curling!

Ahem; let's just say if I didn't already have the ring, using Sole Savour Foot Creme would have turned this into an engagement pedi! Needless to say, Sole Savour is man-approved...

My FH got out of the his speeding ticket with a warning, but now since his soles have been softened, hopefully he'll have less of a lead foot.

TWHS Reviews Jessie Steele's Goodie Two Shoes Apron

Goodie Two Shoes Apron from Jessie Steele

As little girls, we get our first taste of fashion from our mothers and grandmothers by playing dress up in their heels and makeup. We also learn the magic behind family recipes, often at the hem of the apron of matriarchs who mastered them. It's only fitting we also carry the tradition of donning aprons, merging fashion and function.

So you can imagine my joy when Jessie Steele - the premiere apron line for all things vintage and chic - shipped me their fun apron bedecked with heels called Goodie Two Shoes for review!

The women behind the apron line are Helena Steele and daughter Claire, who named the company after Helena's mother Joan and grandmother Jessie. Armed with her own private collection of vintage aprons, Helena saw the need in the modern woman's lifestyle to keep the tradition fresh and appealing.

When I put on my Goodie Two Shoes for the first time, I immediately noticed that the weight of the cotton is heavier than most of the aprons I own. The hot pink bow in grosgrain is discreetly attached on the hip pocket with a safety pin, so you can remove if you want. The extra long ties at both the neck and waist make for pretty bows, and the flirty skirt makes any kitchen chore more stylish!

Lest not forget the shoes; in the oh-so-currently hot trend of black and white, they also happen to be in my fave style of peep-toes! You will definitely cause shoe envy at your next party when you wear it.

I look forward to a holiday season of baking and hosting in my Goodie Two Shoes Apron, while embracing the memories of the women who empowered us in realizing what once was a dated stigma is now a timeless fashionable accessory.

You, too, can be head over heels for Goodie Two Shoes; from October 25- November 1, use promo code WELLHEELED to receive 15% off the Goodie Two Shoes Apron Collection!

Jimmy Choo XV: 15 Years At The Height of Fashion

Talk about your tabletop jewelry. Tamara Mellon is commemorating her 15-year milestone of dressing our feet with a beautiful coffee table book titled Jimmy Choo XV.

Highlighting 15 iconic (favorite) shoes, the book includes sketches, ad campaigns and actresses in Choos.

As the CEO and brain behind the brand, Mellon is more than a shoe lover. Sales from the book will fund Mellon's charitable organization Jimmy Choo Foundation, which will give a platform to gender discrimination, equal pay, sexism, sex slave trade and domestic violence.

"The reason I started Jimmy Choo is obviously I'm passionate about fashion. But also a big drive for me was my independence and freedom, and I think that's a big issue that I want to teach women because it gives them their independence," Mellon tells Vogue TV.

"10% of the net proceeds of the ICON shoes will go into the foundation, so that's our first project to kick it off," she concludes.

The book is available for pre-order now, but by the release date of February 7, it will truly be a gift full of heart and sole.

TWHS Reviews My Brazilian Shoes

Six months from now, I'll be stepping into the shoes of a newly-married woman. Seeing that I have never been one to dream of the circus-like antics that usually are synonymous with wedding planning (long train, short tempers and way too many bridesmaids), my big day will be a simple and private affair, ending with my pedicured toes digging into some beach sand.

So when My Brazilian Shoes, the online store with the best shoes from Brazil contacted me to review a pair of flip flops, I clicked my heels in glee!

Perfect for my upcoming day, they have a style called The Brides. Dripping in pearls, The Brides will carry me from pre-wedding errands to a blissful beach sunset.

They are adorable bridesmaid gifts for those who will have bridesmaids. For me, they definitely qualify as my "something new"!

We Have A Winner!

Cindi Hoppes of Edwardsville, Illinois is the winner of her choice of shoes from Naturalizer!

Thanks to all of you who submitted your vote for the Dress for Success program. Their Suiting Program received the most votes, which in turn will receive the monies generated from the dates of 9/29 through Oct 2!
