TWHS Reviews Esque Cranberry Candle Globe

It's been an emotional week for me. After visiting my father in the hospital, who is recovering from two seizures and a stroke, I feel the need to step back and calm my senses. The folks at FragranceNet.com shipped me the perfect item for review to do so.

The Cranberry Candle Globe is a unique scented candle, housed in a blown glass globe that contains shimmering swirls of gold that are spun into rich hues, creating a delicate web.

The packaging within a black satin gift box makes it ever-so-pretty.  Lighting it for the first time this morning, I placed it on the mantle.  At first I thought the flame had blown out because I did not see the glow. But as in life, some things are worth the wait...

After an hour or so, I started to receive delicate wafts of the mysteria it is scented with.  It is a slow buildup to the glowing effect, but a visual treat to the scent filling the air.  At this time, I felt it was the perfect ambiance to sit down and address my Christmas cards, because the simple act of sending a written note in the mail is one of the priceless treasures we tend to overlook in a gadget-infused world.

My father's health is a reality I will have to face gradually.  But it's comforting to know that the visits to hospital will be followed with moments of gratitude and reflection, thanks to my 50-hour burning Cranberry Candle Globe.

Available for $17.50 at FragranceNet.com

TWHS Reviews SheaMoisture Lemongrass & Ginger Dead Sea Salt Soak

Short of chasing my dreams in high heels, the closest I have come to muscle strain lately is rounding up the bounty of leaves in my yard. But along came the experience of nursing my husband with the flu, and the jar of Lemongrass and Ginger Dead Sea Salt Soak sent to me for review by SheaMoisture sounded like the ideal way to soothe him.

Can we say lemon meringue pie?!  The scent of lemon makes me long for the dessert I never got around to savoring this summer.  The texture of the bath salts are as fine as any pristine beach sand you've frolicked in. And with him being bedridden state, I was looking for all ways to comfort him.

Unfortunately, this is where the experience dissolves right into the rush of the bath water.  The scent disappears quickly, so I infused his bathtime by rubbing him down with their previously-reviewed  Lemongrass and Tea Tree Body Scrub w/Orange Peel.  He said that he felt better mostly because I catered to him; not so much the salt soak; awww

The benefits of the lemongrass in the bath salts is that it acts as a natural astringent and anti-inflammatory to help balance skin. The Ginger helps to relieve muscular cramps, spasms, aches and eases stiffness in joints.

In conclusion, the salt soak is best for an in-home spa experience when paired with the body scrub.
Available at Target and Walgreen locations nationwide, the body scrub/bath salts make the perfect one-two punch for a hostess gift this holiday season.

Light Up Your New Year's Festivities!

Do not adjust your monitor; just pull up a glass and celebrate...

If you thought there were no words to explain your memorable event, might I turn you on to the the hippest thing since bottled water.

Medea Spirits is the swanky distilled wheat vodka that's flowing through the lips of the Chic and the Sassy. They were oh-so-gracious enough to ship me their LED Ticker bottle for review, all ablaze with my name in lights!

Aside from the packaging, the vodka itself is perfect to dress up your Diamond, Chocolate or SATC-approved Cosmopolitan Martinis.

What's phenomenal about the bottle is that it allows you to customize your own personal message, so whether you are getting in, moving on, or kissing up, you can convey your thoughts creatively. Here are a few reasons for putting a message ON your bottle:

~ Proposals: Okay fellas; a trip to Paris may not be in your budget, but she will always remember your question if it's captured in a pre-cocktail announcement at your place. (Note: if for any reason she says no, you have immediate relief to drown your sorrows)

~ PUBLISHED!!!: Speak it into existence. I will be changing my bottle to read Bestselling Author

~ Bodacious Birthdays: 30, 40, 50... Go Shorty; it's your Birthday!

~ Hostess With The Mostess: Bottles of wine are cookie-cutter gifts; show some originality and wow your host/hostess by spelling it out!
