TWHS Reviews SOS 3-in-1 Soy Candle

This Valentine's Day, might I suggest investing in an SOS Soy Candle; a chameleon of candles that also happens to be body safe, free of parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals, animal products and animal testing. When I was shipped a sample of their scent Lueur Mon Amour for review, it certainly lit my curiosity.

And if you have to ask why a candle is body safe, you REALLY need to get one, so its name "glow my love" won't get lost in the translation. But to cue you in on several of its benefits, an SOS candle can be used cold as an emollient lotion or as a silky massage oil when warmed. Or you can just use it the old-fashioned way and light it for the scent.

I wanted to test it out as a massage oil, and my FH was more than a willing participant. After enjoying a candle-lit bubble bath, I allowed the candle to cool down, and then proceeded to massage the cucumber and melon-scented molten mix of aloe vera oil, apricot oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil, shea butter and Vitamin E oil all over his skin...

Talk about your instant mood setter! The sample tin is truly a prerequisite for lighting your honey's fire.

Grab your choice from their three signature scents for Valentine's Day. You'll thank me later.

Adding Fire To Your Emotions With Kukui Candles

A hand-written love letter...

A mid-day text saying he's thinking of you, when he told you last night he'll call after work...

A note stuck in your favorite pair of shoes...

Sometimes the smallest gestures create the biggest memories. Being one who lives and breathes the written word, I also believe in having the right ambience when putting paper to pen (or hitting the send button).

The gracious folks at Hawaiian Body Products shipped me one of their Kukui travel candles for review. The line of candles is available in two sizes: the travel size with screw-on lid burns 15-20 hours and a 30-36-hour burning large candle encased in a recycled glass jar. Both come in five sensual scents and make perfect desktop/bedside table accessories (the glass-encased candle is adorned with a handmade mother of pearl and coconut charm).

After all, Kukui means light, candle or torch in Hawaiian. What better way to ignite your senses than by creating the right mood - or words - with a candle made from natural coconut wax, Hawaiian beeswax and kukui nut. But unlike paraffin candles, Kukui candles produce 95% less soot.

Which is great, because the only impression you'll leave behind is from the exotic scent erupting from the Kukui candle. And the words from your heart.

Kukui Candles are made by Hawaiian Body Products, and can be purchased by clicking here.
