The Oscars Fell Flat On Views of High Heels
The Oscars make me sad.
Not because of the wins or losses, but for the millions of shoe addicts around the world like me who were once again left unfulfilled in viewing the year's most glamorous red carpet.
And while we all had to settle for next-day images of the stars' selected footwear (did anyone actually see Supermodel Natalia Vodianova in Stuart Weitzman's Millionairess stiletto live on the red carpet?!), it seems the go-to designer was a tie between Stuart Weitzman and Jimmy Choo.
The celebrities who chose to wear SW include Tina Fey, Judy Greer, Janet McTeer and Selena Gomez. Both Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer and her co-star Viola Davis stepped radiantly in Jimmy Choos, as did JLo. Gwyneth Paltro outshined Melissa Leo in Jimmy Choo's Koko platform sandal.
Unfortunately, the designers of gowns and baubles upstaged shoes in the visual category whenever the, "Who are you wearing?" question was asked.

I agree, totally. Though I see more celebrities making a point to show and discuss their shoes, it's nowhere near enough. I say give the shoes more shine time.
