TWHS Reviews The Tea Spot Holiday Brews

Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but the tea inside my steeping mug is so delightful...

Just in time for Thanksgiving (and our first taste of winter, with a 19-degree forecast tonight), my fave Tweeps at The Tea Spot shipped me samples of their Holiday Brews, a collection of seasonally-delicious tea blends:

~ Limited Edition Harvest Spice: Black Tea with orange peel, cinnamon, clove oil

~ Mile High Chai: Black Tea with ginger root, cardamom, cinnamon, allspice

~ Red Hot Chai: Caffeine-free Red Rooibos Tea, cinnamon, cardamom, chai spices, vanilla

The Holiday Brews Gift Set includes .6oz mini tins of the three blends and two black porcelain mugs, which makes it ideal to gift your mail carrier, hair stylist or your earth angel (i.e. the shoe salesperson who always alerts you to new arrivals).  While my taste leans more towards basic black (in both fashion and tea), I decided to brew the Harvest Spice first.

As soon as I opened the sample, the scent reminded me of the simmering potpourri I create for the holidays, as the citrus was prominent.  Once brewed, I was happily delighted with the notes of cinnamon and cloves that came forth.  Think citrus pomander in a cup!  And the perfect libation to begin my Thanksgiving Eve cooking.

I plan on brewing the chai blends as the temps dip and I plant myself in front of the fireplace.

Other reasons to peruse their site?  You get a Free Tea Sample; the perfect stocking stuffer for that person suffering from a cold!  Then head over to their FB page for a a chance win Free Tea For A Year!
