There's Power in The Click of Our Keys & Clack of Our Heels

GoodSearch: You Search...We Give!

On the heels of Susan G. Komen's politically-motivated ceasing of funding to Planned Parenthood, those of us who connect via social media can support 170,000 women who are in jeopardy of losing the ability to receive breast screenings and education.

With every click of our keypad, we have the power to continue the funding for life-saving exams, without the need of a check.

GoodSearch is a search engine that donates a penny to Planned Parenthood Federation of America with every search. Use their GoodShop when you shop online and they'll donate a percentage of every purchase. They also have a program called GoodDining; if you eat at one of thousands of participating restaurants, they’ll donate part of what you paid for the meal.

You can also spread the GoodSearch message by adding it to your e-mail signature, downloading the toolbar and e-mailing family friends via your social networks. As of this posting, $1,611.06 has been raised for Planned Parenthood on GoodSearch.

Of course, you can always send a monetary donation directly to Planned Parenthood, whose donations have grown dramatically upon the news.

Help me support Planned Parenthood - Federation of America (New York - NY), or choose your local chapter. And know that the next time you're searching online for those cute shoes, you will be helping an uninsured woman take steps towards a healthy future.

Footnote: After days of public scrutiny, Susan G. Komen will continue to fund existing grants, including those of Planned Parenthood, and preserve their eligibility to apply for future grants.
