TWHS Reviews MUD

Autumn Splendor Kit from MUD

As we adjust to the changing of the clock in our lives, let us not forget to change our makeup to accomodate a new season.

After being contacted by MUD, I am pleased to review their new makeup kit called Autumn Splendor. Don't let the company name distract you; it is NOT enriched with mud; it stands for Make-Up Designory, a 13-year-old, private, post-secondary institution that provides training for make-up artistry in film, television, fashion and retail.

The kit is enhanced with shades that celebrate the hues of the season:

~ (1) 4-Hole Eye Color Palette of Brownstone, Espresso, Moss and Honeysuckle
~ (1) Black Forest Eye Pencil
~ (1) Rose Petal Cheek Color
~ (1) Java Lip Glaze
~ (1) Travel Cosmetic Pouch

And after a sultry season of running around with nude lips, I'm ready for the richer shades fall has to offer. Never one to paint my face with bold, bright colors, this kit is densely neutral with rich chocolates and olives which are complimentary to a range of skin tones.

My fave of the kit is the Java Lip Glaze; a chocolate/berry that gives just the right amount of tint without you looking like you're using up your leftover Halloween lipstick. Not that there's anything wrong with that if you are...

I am a believer that makeup should enhance your beauty and not mask it. The Autumn Splendor Kit is a nice way to treat yourself to the shades of the season, or to give as a gift to the woman who needs a change.
